Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rap musician with a distinct style. Baker was originally born in Houston, TX U.S. on the 22nd of April 1990 to parents of English Scottish German descent. As a child, he spent a great period of his time on the road along with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed, as Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Following that Baker and his father relocated to Denver in the area where they stayed together with his father's aunt. Baker was bullied by other kids in the neighborhood due to due to his poverty. As he entered sixth grade, Baker began to learn the art of rap. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born April 22, 1990, in Texas. The artist is famous for mixing modern and alternative hip-hop with rock in his music compositions. Baker released four mixtapes prior to signing to Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. The Cleveland rapper who penned songs at the speed of a speeding bullet experienced an explosion of popularity when 2011 was the year he moved from self-released tracks to well-known label. In the following years, every single album of his charted at number 10.
